A disappointment in an otherwise great dishwasher
Overall, our Miele DW is great, and we'd buy another. However, this top basket suffers from construction and design flaws. The wire frame is made from a cheap metal that rusted out from the under side in less than 4 years. The coating is inadequate to protect the underlying metal. You would think that Miele would use stainless steel for this frame. We never abused it and always used Miele DW products.
In terms of design, it never seems to hold enough glasses. The right channel holds 4 cups or mugs, but the other 3 channels are lifted up in weird ways that limit the placement of glasses and cups. It's a very rigid design without the flexibility of the cutlery tray and bottom basket.
